The Ag-Urban Leadership Initiative seeks interested leaders from both the agricultural and urban communities.  All interested participants are invited to fill out the application under the Enroll Here link. We are seeking approximately 10 agriculture participants and 10 urban participants. Once you apply, we will contact you by email to confirm we received your application.

Tuition:
Tuition for the Ag-Urban Leadership Initiative is $750.  Tuition covers all meals, materials and an overnight, as well as facilitation and speaker expenses.  Participants that attend all five class sessions will receive a $250 refund.

Scholarships will be available through the Iowa Soybean Association and the soybean checkoff and the other Ag-Urban Leadership Initiative sponsors.  Applications must be received in February to qualify for a scholarship. Those receiving a scholarship will be notified after acceptance into the program.

We believe the opportunity to build business and community development connections within this program are a strong incentive for both farm and urban participants to get involved.  The Iowa Soybean Association has long been recognized as one of Iowa’s strongest agriculture associations, with activities stretching into environmental, research, on-farm assessment, soy foods, biofuels and livestock production.
